On a lovely Bank Holiday Sunday Ballyhar travelled to take on a good Lenamore team in the Reserve Cup.

The game was played at a good tempo and there were chances for both sides. Lenamore took lead on 15mins with Ballyhar settling into the game and got back level when J power struck a lovely free kick into top corner of net. 1-1 Lenamore them broke through the Ballyhar defence to get a 2nd goal just before half time, leaving it 2-1 at the break.

Ballyhar started the 2nd half brightly and made it 2-2 when D O'Connor struck the net.  But despite some good play, Lenamore got hold of the game halfway through the 2nd half and scored a good individual goal to make it 3-2. Ballyhar pushed for an equaliser but just couldn’t score, while Lenamore added another on 80 mins. With legs getting tired and Ballyhar trying to get back into the game, Lenamore added 2 more goals late on with 2 excellent shots from outside box which nestled into top left corner. F/T 6-2

Ballyhar had 4 youths as.part of the matchday squad of 12 including Rob Kelly, Micheal O'Sullivan, Daithi O'Shea and Luke Henderson getting some great game time at senior level with D O'Shea, D Cronin, G Fitzgerald, P O'Connor, J O'Connor and T O'Shea did well.
