Ballyhar started the game very brightly, creating a few great chances. We took the lead 16mins in l, when Patrick O'Connor struck one of those chances to the net. Ballyhar should have added to that opener but failed to beat the Ballyheigue keeper. Then Rian Brosnan in goals made a good save but was also adjudged to bring down a Ballyheigue man. A spot kick was given and scored to make it 1-1. With 10mins to halftime Ballyheigue got their 22nd to make it 2-1 at break.

Both teams were compact in the 2nd half with the 2 keepers keeping out any half chances. It finished 2-1 to Ballyheigue.

It was a good game overall with 3 youths getting game time. Best for Ballyhar were Maurice o Donoghue, John power, Alan Moriarty, Mike Daly and Declan o Connor.
