Our seniors picked up another three points with a late winner on Monday evening to consolidate 3rd position in the table.
The game overall was an even affair with both keepers dealing with what ever was asked of them. Patrick o Connor went close in the first half after a through ball from Shane o Sullivan. Ballyhar keeper Trevor O shea and back four of John power, Kevin o Sullivan,Maurice O Donoghue & Michael Brosnan were solid through the 90 minutes and contributed to many attacks.
Mike Daly raced through on 70 minutes but his powerful shot flew over when he should have hit the target. With the game looking like a scoreless draw captain padraig o Connor flicked a Ger Fitzgerald corner to the net to settle the contest.
Ballyhar will be happy with the win with all 14 contributing to a spirited performance in what has been a good league season.
