Our seniors picked up the three points on offer today at murt Scott park by way of a hard earned victory over killarney Celtic b.

The hard working Diarmuid Brosnan after being set up by maurice o Donoghue has the first chance of the game but his goal bound effort was diverted for a corner. Kevin o Sullivan gave Ballyhar the lead on 25 minutes with a well timed powerful header from a Peter cosgrave delivery leaving Ballyhar leading 1-0 at the break.

Celtic came more into the game in the second half with the Falvey brothers & Evan Cronin always a threat but with dynamos defence of Trevor O shea, John power, John Daly , Kevin o Sullivan & Michael Brosnan giving  little away at the back. The introduction of fresh legs in the name of Evan Cosgrave, Ger fitzgerald, shane o sullivan , craig boyle o sullivan & jack Duggan over the last 30 minutes aided ballyhar s cause.

It was Ger Fitzgerald who on 75 minutes made the game semi safe with a fine low effort into the corner of the Celtic net to ensure a 2-0 home win.
