Played at murt Scott park in good conditions the game was scoreless nearing half time with Ballyhar appearing to be the more likely to make the breakthrough based on possession and half chances
with peter cosgrave and Shane o Sullivan going close. castle struck twice before half time to take a 0-2 lead into the break. Once we conceded the 3rd goal on 60mins it was going to be difficult to get back into the game. Diarmuid Brosnan & Sean Cooper should have made the scoreline more respectable with their shots late on. Padraig o Connor slotted in comfortably in the middle of the back four alongside Kevin o sullivan with the youthful John power , Michael Brosnan , Peter Cosgrave & Conor Henderson gaining senior experience  which will stand to them in the games ahead.
