Our Ballyhar U12 B's progress to the quarter finals of the Shield following a convincing home win over Mastergeeha C.
Ballyhar controlled the ball most of the game with lots of chances coming in the opening half. But only 1 was put away though and it came via a spectacular overhead kick by Alex Finn straight from a corner by Patrick O'Connor. H/T 1-0

Having failed to put away chances in the 1st half there was little mistake made in front of goal in the 2nd as Finn & O'Connor ran riot. Having hit the woodwork 3 times, O'Connor would go on to score 2, with his 2nd a brilliant individual effort rolled into the bottom right hand corner after some lovely footwork down the left. Finn got 3 more in the 2nd half with goalkeeper Noah Browne getting an assist from a great kick out. Credit must also go to Daithi Allen who covered lots of ground in midfield along side Adam Fleming.

It wasn't all plain sailing though as a very spirited Mastergeeha side caused us more than a few problems over the course of the game.

It was a good performance from our U12 boys & girl in Blue with the MOTM going to Alex Finn for his 4 goals.
