The clubs U17s suffered a tough away day on Sunday when they faced MEK in Division 1.
Trailing 2-0 at half time & well in the game, despite soaking up some pressure and having a few half chances with Shane Doolan & Eugene Deniel having efforts on the MEK goal. The home side found another gear in the 2nd half and more importantlythey found the net, scoring 3 more goals in the 3rd quarter. Shane Doolan briefly narrowed the gap when he made it 5-1 from the penalty spot on 70 minutes. But 3 late goals by MEK were the only scoring done after that.
For Ballyhar, Sean O'Sullivan was busy in goal, with Tony Daly, Gearoid Healy, Andy O'Cathasaigh, Gérard Long, & Luke Courtney giving it their all. A mention also for 2 of our U16s, Marcus Clifford & Anthony Cremin who came on in the 2nd half and brought a bit of pace to the game early in the second half.
