Ballyhar secured 3 points on Sunday in Premier B against QPR in a good win.

Ballyhar started brightly and on the front foot putting the visitors under pressure right fro the whistle. And it paid off after 15 mins when a nicely floated free kick from Ger Fitzgerald was headed to the back of the net by James Horgan. Despite other chances during the first half the lads went in at the brake 1 goal up. H/T 1-0

The start of the 2nd half saw Ballyhar try to keep the upper hand, constantly probing forward with the ball. Thankfully it wasn't long before they doubled their lead, when Niall Ashe slotted ball home to make it 2-0. Ballyhar looked comfortable after that, until the last 15mins when QPR made the most of a corner and pulled one back to make it 2-1. QPR then really pressed Ballyhar after that goal and made it a tough last 15 mins, but Ballyhar defended well. Then with just a minute left, we made the game safe, when James Horgan scored his 2nd of the day to make it 3-1 at the final whistle. Credit to both teams for a good game which was played sportingly, with Ballyhar digging deep in the end to secure the win.
