The senior team picked up a point in a scoreless draw with Classic FC under lights at mounthawk park on Saturday night. Classic had the better of the possession in the 1st half where chances were at a minimum but Trevor O'Shea in the Ballyhar Goal pulled off one excellent save & Patrick O'Connor went close at the other end. The back 3 of John powe, Kevin O'Sullivan & Ger Fitzgerald were solid throughout the game with the 5 accross the middle working hard with Sean Cooper & Declan O'Connor offering a route up front.H/T 0-0

The 2nd half saw Ballyhar get on more ball with Alan Moriarty testing the Classic keeper on more than one occasion. Late on, a timely interception by Robert Kelly allowed Danny Cronin to set up Maurice O'Donoghue who lobbed the advancing keeper, only for it to be ruled out for off side. F/T 0-0

Overall despite being down a few bodies it was a spirited performance by the 13 who togged out, with Trevor O'Shea, Danny Brosnan, Kevin O'Sullivan & Michael Brosnan in excellent form.
