_{Our seniors trailed 2-0 at the break despite having a number of good goal scoring chances with Declan O'Connor & Michael Brosnan going close. James Horgan halved the deficit early in the second half from a John power corner. But on 70mins Athletic restired their 2 goal cushion made it 3-1. Ballyhar kept un the fight and made it an interesting last 15 mins when Horgan got his second goal on 75 mins after fine approach work by Alan Moriarty & Maurice O'Donoghue. Despite exerting plenty of pressure in the last 10 minutes, Ballyhar couldn't find the equaliser. Both Gearoid Quirke & Robert Kelly got more game time and senior experience thatbwill stamd to them. Trevor O'Shea, Kevin O'Sullivan, Ger Fitzgerald, Danny Cronin,  Patrick O'Connor & Daniel O'Sullivan all played well for Ballyhar.}
