Our Ballyhar u12s got there league campaign off to a good start on Saturday when they welcomed Killarney Celtic B.
The first half was a very tight affair with Ballyhar having the better chances in front of goal but just couldn't get past a very solid Celtic keeper. H/T 0-0
The second half saw celtic get off to a flying start and scored 2 goals inside the first 10mins. With Ballyhar now 2-0 down and trying to regain their feet, up stepped substitute Jack Sheehy who made an instant impace when he found the net after the ball was sloted through by Jack Cooper 1-2. With only ten mins left Ballyhar made it 2-2 when Bryan Evans shot from outside the box found the bottom left corner. Finishing the game very strong, Ballyhar scored again, this time Cooper sloted home when he was put through by Fabian Mrotek. 3-2 Ballyhar were dominating the final minutes and when Cooper did a lovely one two to put Mrotek through he made the final score 4-2 to Ballyhar.
It was a great start for this bunch, playing a competitive game for the first time, with offsides and a ref. It was a great team performance, but Man of the Match had to go to Jack Sheehy for leading the comeback.
Ballyhar team was Gavin Sheehan, Paddy Hurley, Dermot Nealon, Cole Buckley, Fabian Mrotek, Bryan Evans, Jack Cooper, Sean Evans, Marcus Sullivan, Jack Sheehy, Diarmuid Kean, Micheal Griffin & Andam Cizmar.
