It was a Top of the table slog for our U12 B's in Fossa today with the bare 9 players putting in a huge effort to get a deserved away win.

Ballyhar started strong and had the majority of possession, but it was looking like one of those days as chance after chance failed to find the back of the net. Alex Finn, Adam Fleming and Callum Templeman created lots of chances for Ballyhar but mishit shots and the MEK keeper kept frustrating Ballyhar. Halftime 0-0

The 2nd half saw Ballyhar continue their dominance with Emma Harrington and Brandon Wynn working hard up front and Fionn Clifford driving forward at every chance to try to help break the deadlock. Ballyhar kept plugging away and didn't underestimate MEK who fought hard and created some chances of their own. With 15 mins left Ballyhar were camped in the MEK box with 4 corners in a row causing lots of problems but the MEK keeper made some good saves. Then with 5 mins left the breakthrough finally came as Templeman bombarded down the left flank and put in a great ball across the box for Finn to finally hit the net.

MEK made sure it was a nervous final few minutes as they pushed for an equaliser and only for a great save from Brandon O'Sullivan in goals it could have been very different. Ballyhar held on for a well deserved and hard fought victory with every player leaving everything they had out on the pitch. Thanks to MEK for an exciting and sporting game.
