MEK got revenge today at Murt Scott Park following the game last week.
Ballyhar went ahead in first half through a goal from Jack Kelly when he was set up by good work by Ryan Quilter. We went in at half time 1:0 up.
In second half Ballyhar appeared to lose focus and some shape. MEK got back level after about 10 minutes into 2nd half when a clearance from back was blocked and a shot went in off a Ballyhar player. Minutes later MEK went 2:1 up when Ballyhar lost possession in midfield and MEK broke to finish well.
Ballyhar chased an equalizer and put good pressure on in last few minutes however players were taking possession too much into contact and the MEK defense held out well. MEK went further ahead on the stroke of full time with a header from a corner and deserved the win today. Man of match for Ballyhar Daire Cornally in center of defense.
