Listowel arrived in Rusheen for an 11.30 kick off last Saturday, looking to take all 3 points and it turned out to be an entertaining 3-3 draw.

A bright start saw Josh Nelligan open the scoring after just 2 mins, running onto a through ball and slotting home.
Ballyhar doubled their lead on 8 mins when Brian McMahon swung in a big corner and the Listowel keeper was unfortunate to turn it into his own net!

The hectic start continued with Listowel responding on 9 and 13 mins to level the game up at 2-2. But the home team struck back on 17 mins when a throw from Diarmuid Fitzgerald was launched long putting Darragh McLaughlin in on goal and he struck the ball into the bottom right hand corner. 3-2 Eventually the game settled as the teams got the measure of each other and Ballyhar went into the half time break a goal up. Strong performances from Thomas Flaherty in centre midfield and Liam Smyth at left back stood out as Listowel piled on the pressure in the 2nd half. They finally cracked on 40 mins and hit the equaliser following sustained pressure and that’s how the game finished. 3-3 was a fair result in the end after an entertaining game
