An away trip ended in disappointment from our U13's on Saturday morning. Celtic started the brighter and had Ballyhar on the back foot early and took the lead on 7 mins with a goal straight from a corner. Ballyhar didn't settle into the game until about halfway through the 1st half but failed to create any clear cut chances. H/T 1-0
Ballyhar created a number of half chances early in second half, with Ryan Vickers hitting the side netting after a run down the left. But Celtic were the more clinical and made it 2-0 with a strike inside the box. Shortly after that Celtic were given a free-kick out on the right which was swung in deep and met at the back post by a Celtic head who put it past the diving Daniel Duggan in goals to make it 3-0. As hard as Ballyhar tried, it wasn't their day summed up when Ryan Quilter saw his good effort come off the crossbar. Celtic rounded off the scoring late on with a strike from long range to make it 4-0 at full time.
Best for Ballyhar on the day were Shane Edwards, Ogie Griffin, Jamie O'Brien and Dàire Cornally.
