U13 Premier result: Ballyhar Dynamos 3 Killorglin AFC 2

Ballyhar just came out on the right side of a 5 goal thriller on Wednesday evening at Murt Scott Park. It was an exciting and entertaining game with conditions thankfully improved and both teams putting on an excellent display.

Ballyhar settled well into the game, and enjoyed alot of possession in the early stages. Addy Nolan, Jack Kelly, Adam O Meara and Ryan Vickers getting on top in midfield. They're efforts were rewarded when, after 20 minutes, Killorglin failed to clear a corner and Daire Cornally latched onto the ball and finished well to the bottom corner. Half time 1:0

Killorglin were always threatening and soon after the restart, they were rewarded when a ball was played over the Ballyhar defence and their forward finished well. Ballyhar to their credit recomposed themselves and continued to create a number of clear chances, with Ryan Vickers, Jack Kelly and Ryan Quilter all going close. At the other end, Dan Duggan pulled off a number of excellent saves to keep Killorglin at bay. Ballyhar were rewarded for their possession and efforts when halfway through the 2nd half, after some excellent play, Ryan Quilter slotted the ball home to make it 2:1 to Ballyhar. Killorglin were far from finished and a number of minutes later, a Killorglin corner was only half cleared to the edge of the box where a Killorglin midfielder found himself unmarked and finished excellently to the roof of the Ballyhar net. The game was now in the melting pot for the final 10 mins, with Ballyhar pushing on for the winner, but also conscious of the threat Killorglin had upfront. With just 3 minutes left on the clock, Ballyhar played the ball out to the left of midfield and worked up the line with some excellent inter play between Sean O Leary and Ryan Quilter. The ball made its way to Ryan Vickers who finished clinically, slotting home past the advancing keeper. Ballyhar hung on for a deserved win. Credit to both teams on a sporting and quality game.

It was a great team performance by all the panel, with Sean O Leary, Jack Kelly, Calum Templeman and Adam Fleming all to the fore. MOM for his excellent display in midfield Addy Nolan.
