U13 Premier result: Ballyhar Dynamos 8 - Tralee Dynamos 3

A battle of the Dynamos took place at a windy Murt Scott Park on Saturday morning, with Ballyhar coming out on top.

A tightly contested opening 10 minutes by both sides burst into life when Ryan Quilter spotted the keeper off his line and struck a great chip to open the scoring. Tralee equalised right from the restsrt with a great move & finish. Tralee created several more chances with a couple of near misses and a goal mouth scramble, as the Ballyhar defence tried to keep them at bay. Goals settle the nerves and Ballyhar finally settled and added 4 goals before halftime. Jack Kelly scored at the near post from a Ryan Vickers corner, before Kelly struck again with a super strike from the edge of the box. Addy Nolan got the 4th with a clinical strike from the edge of the box and Quilter got his second from a free kick. H/T 5-1

Having lost 1 of their most influential players through injury in the 1st half, Tralee dug deep and rallied well after the restart putting Ballyhar on the back foot. Their pressure was rewarded early in the half capitalising on a failed Ballyhar clearance to make it 5-2. With their tails up Tralee pressed forward again but the Ballyhar lads kept the heads and pushed on, adding 3 more goals through Alex Finn, Daire Cornally & Diarmuid Casey. Tralee were awarded a free kick 5 min from time and a wonder strike from their forward found the net to round off the scoring for the day.F/T 8-3

Man of the match went to Jack Kelly for his goals & excellent work rate throughout. The scoreline didn't reflect the efforts and never give up attitude of a valiant Tralee side.
