The u13B team got their campaign off today in a tricky away tie to Inter Kenmare. They settled well and played some excellent football in 1st half taking a deserved lead when Danielle Brosnan fired home after 15 minutes from close range. The teams went in at half time level after Kenmare broke on the right and finished putting the ball just beyond 1st half keeper Charlie Moynihan in goals.
At start of second half Kenmare were quick out of traps and went into a quick 4:1 lead as Ballyhar seemed to lose focus. The lads reorganised and an excellent free was finished home by Patrick O Connor followed by a clinical strike from Adam Fleming making it 4:3 with 15 mins to go.
Ballyhar pushed for the equaliser but were hit on the break by Kenmare to make it 5:3. Further strikes late on somewhat flattered the hosts. Best for Ballyhar were Patrick O Connor, Luke Bartlett, Adam Fleming and Danielle Brosnan.
