Our U14's had a good win on Saturday morning when they hosted Killarnet Celtic B. Ballyhar had the best chances of the 1st half and broke the deadlock 15mins in from the penalty spot, after Aaron Moriarty was brought down as he was baring down on goal. Aaron then stepped up to convert it to give the home side the lead. With not many clear chances, Ballyhar went into halftime with a 1-0 lead.
Ballyhar started the 2nd half on top and took full advantage to get 2nd from Kaelan Riordan after just 5 mins. Then Killarney Celtic were given a lifeline after some sloppy defending by Ballyhar gave away a penalty. But Kianan Cronin in the Ballyhar goal had other ideas and dived smartly to his left and saved it. Ballyhar then looked to put the game away with 10 mins remaining, Daniel Downes controlled a cross to slot home 3-0. Ballyhar saw out the game to earn a well deserved 3 points.
It was a strong display by all the team with Ryan Breen, Sean Brosnan, Ruairi MacEntee and Kevin O'Shea
