Our 14A team travelled to Tralee on a wet Saturday morning to take on St. Brendans Park B in the first round of the Tom Hayes Cup.

The lads took a while to settle into the game but proved too strong in the end for a gallant Park team. Jamie Murphy broke the deadlock 10 minutes in with a great strike from distance, with further goals from Dylan Fitzgerald x 3, Jack Kelly, Ryan Quilter, Addy Nolan, and Alex Finn... saw Ballyhar complete a comfortable win on the day. To their credit, St Brendan's Park never gave up and had some good passages of play, but were unlucky to hitt the post and crossbar in the first half and heading just over from close range. Thanks to Park for a sporting game and ref on the day Adrian Quirke.
