Our U15's made it 3 league wins out of 4 after a one sided affair at Murt Scott Park on Saturday afternoon. Playing with the wind in the first half the lads got off to a quick start scoring after just 2 mins through Killian Slattery. He doubled his tally 3 mins later with another well taken goal. Kenmare fought hard to frustrate Ballyhar and things got very scrappy for a 15 min spell. Ballyhar hit the woodwork twice and Marcus Clifford had a great header saved by the Kenmare keeper from a corner. Slattery had the chance to make it 3 when he was awarded a penalty but unfortunately missed the target. A 3rd goal finally came on 25 mins as Jim O'Dowd got into some space down the right and shot across the keeper into the left corner.
H/T 3-0
Playing into the breeze the lads had to adjust and absorb a bit of early pressure from Kenmare but held out well with Tom Costelloe and Ross Lally very good in the centre of the park. Ballyhar soon got on top again with Slattery getting his hat-trick on 45 mins. 10 mins later Jim O'Dowd got his 2nd and Ballyhar's 5th after some great team work. Then on 62 mins Slattery threw in a corner from the left that eluded everyone and managed to just cross the line before a defender could clear it. Kenmare made it 6-1 with 10 mins to go after a miscue from the defence led to the Kenmare striker through on goal and despite the best efforts of Keeper Eoin O'Mahony and great last ditch defending from Conor Regan, the ref deemed the ball crossed the line and awarded the consolation goal. Slattery then got his fifth of the game after a great run down the left, with the scoring rounded off by Daniel Gleeson who got on the end of a cross in the last few minutes of the game. Best for Ballyhar were Tom Costelloe, Ross Lally, Jim O'Dowd and MOTM Killian Slattery
