On a balmy Tuesday evening, Ballyhar hosted Mastergeeha at Murt Scott Park.
In an entertaining game, Ballyhar started brightly and created a number of chances. They took the lead after 15 minutes when an excellent corner by Ryan Quilter was met by Jack Kelly, who headed home well to the Mastergeeha net. The lead was to double ten minutes later when Ryan Vickers, after some excellent individual play, beat a number of Mastergeeha defenders to make it 2:0 going into the break.H/T 2-0
At the start of the second half, Mastergeeha saw a lot more of the play and created a number of chances. However, the defence of Daire, Eoin, Jamie, and Diarmuid were excellent and robust at the back. Halfway through the second half, Ballyhar got the 3rd goal. An excellent cross put in by Brendan Allman was finished home by Ryan Quilter. This would be the last of the scoring.F/T 3-0
Thanks to Mastergeeha for a sporting game and Adrian for reffing the game. Best for Ballyhar were Eoin Casey, Ryan Vickers, Jamie O Brien, with Man of the Match going to Jack Kelly for his industrious and battling display all evening.
