Our U16'stravelled the short distance to take on neighbours Castleisland, started brightly with their pressure paying off, scoring the 1st goal if the game. Ballyhar got back in the game through Conor Edwards who equalised before the break to make it  1-1 at halftime.

Jamie Murphy and Owen Casey dominated midfield in the 2nd half to give ballyhar a foothold in the game. Isaac Vicker’s made it 1-2 with 20 mins left getting past the home defence, rounding the keeper to put ballyhar ahead. Castelisland pushed hard for an equaliser and had a few good chances only to find Jack O'Shea in great form between the sticks. Ballyhar broke up the field and got their 3rd goal from the penalty spot through Kealan Riordan to make it 3-1 to Ballyhar in a very sporting contest.

Best for Ballyhar were Jamie O'Brien, Jack Kelly, Noel O'Sullivan, Arron Moriarty, Sean Brosnan and Ryan Breen.
