With a great performance on the day, our men's senior team played out a hard fought well deserved victory ove the visitors Lenamore Rovers.

Lenamore had a good chance early on in the game, when a run down the left ended with a shot which flew over the crossbar just 5 mins in. Ballyhar looked to gain control and got on top in the first 30mins and had a few good chances to put themselves ahead. Then came the break through they deserved when Danny Cronin struck a sweet half volley from edge of box to fly past the Lenamore keeper on 33 mins. 1-0 Ballyhar and it stayed that way until half time.

After the break Lenamore created a few chances but found Patrick O'Connor in good form between the posts for Ballyhar. Then it looked like Ballyhar extended that lead, when they broke well and Michael O'Sullivan struck a good finish to the net but unfortunately he was adjudged to be slightly offside. During the final third, Ballyhar ran themselves into the ground and never gave in. Lenamore lost 2 players late on and that meant thr game played out to a 1-0 victory for Ballyhar.
