A hard earned 3 points was the reward for the club seniors on a wet Sunday afternoon at Celtic Park. Ballyhar were the better team in the first half and led 0-2 at the break thanks to goals from a Peter cosgrave free kick and James Horgan lobbing the Celtic keeper.

Mike Daly exteneded the lead 10 mins into the 2nd half. With the elements at their backs Celtic went more direct and brought the game back to 2-3. Conal Murphy made it 2-4 after combining nicely with Mike Daly before a late consolation goal by Celtic to make the final score 4- 3 to Ballyhar.

It was a hard earned win and a welcome boost for the lads with 16 players getting game time. Best for Ballyhar were Padraig Hilliard, Alan moriarty, Danny Cronin, John Daly, Mike Brosnan, James Horgan & Patrick O'Connor.
