U12 Boys Division 1: Tralee Dynamos 1 - Ballyhar 7

On a very heavy muddy pitch in Tralee in a gusting breeze Ballyhar played The Grinch and left no presents for Tralee Dynamos.
Some fantastic early pressure saw Jack Sheehy make it 1-0 to the visitors with a well taken shot from outside the box.Himself and Jack Cooper could have made it more but in awkward conditions their shots went just wide.Sean Evans popped up to make it 2-0 to Ballyhar with a well taken goal from just inside the box.
Jack Cooper making it 3-0 slotting home from a through ball into the box putting distance between the sides. Some fantastic early pressure and play from Ballyhar which Tralee found it very hard to get going.A great team goal came next as Ballyhar mounted an attack up the left wing and the ball  was worked in to Jack Cooper who rifled the ball home to make it 4-0 .
A very satisfying first half but in the second Ballyhar knew they would have to weather the storm playing against the gusting wind. Some great defending from Ballyhar with Dermot Nealon and Paddy Hurley strong at the back and turning defence into attack and putting more pressure on Tralee.
Some relentless running from Fabian Mortek who was all over the pitch and keeping possession for Ballyhar. Marcus O'Sullivan made an amazing run from his own box into the Tralee box to eventually force a corner after some great skill and tricks.
Bryan Evans got a lovely goal by lobbing the Tralee keeper from distance placing the ball high into the Tralee net to make it 5-0, Jack Cooper made it 6 with a very well taken goal to claim a well deserved hatrick. So far Gavin Sheehan hadn't had a whole pile to do in goals thanks to some good solid defending but Tralee managed to get a consolation goal on the break making it 6-1.
After some more fine attacking play from Ballyhar involving Dylan O'Sullivan and Micheàl Griffin and switching Marcus O'Sullivan into attack Jack Cooper made it 7-1 with a well taken goal .Tralee managed to still attack but Noah Finn was there to end it as the referee blew for full time. F/T 1-7

MOM Jack Cooper
