U13 Girls Division 1: Camp Juniors 3 - Ballyhar 1

U13 Girls Division 1: Camp Juniors 3 - Ballyhar 1

On a windy morning in Camp our Ballyhar girls travelled in high spirits with the hope of a big move up the table but, alas, it was not to be!
Ballyhar who were missing a few players due to illness started well and the bright start saw Ballyhar take an early lead when Maisy O'Sullivan slotted into the bottom corner from an Anna Kate Daly through ball.

The forward pair of Maisy O'Sullivan and Mollie O'Connor were working well and combining with the hard working midfield duo of Emma O'Callaghan and Grace O'Sullivan. On the flanks Feile Dower and Anna Kate Daly were pressing and dribbling at the Camp defence.
However it was the Ballyhar defence that was under more pressure as the game progressed with player of the match Aoibhinn Daly, Emily O'Callaghan, Kate O'Connor and Faye O'Brien and the ever impressive Ella Mitchell in goal withstanding wave after wave of attacks.
Eventually as energy levels faded and and the wind picked up the game swung in the home teams favour and the scored 3 goals without reply.

Sophie O'Brien, Roisin Mannix and Maria Scanlan came off the bench to try to turn the tide but despite their brave efforts it was to no avail

A brave performance from the Ballyhar girls but it was Camp who prevailed on the day.

Best on the day:
Aoibhinn Daly
Anna Kate Daly
