Our U12 B's had their 1st competitive outing this afternoon and went down fighting to a good Park side. The lads bounced back well from an early setback as Park took an early lead. But within just 3 mins, they worked a good chance down the left with Charlie Curran doing well to find the net from close range. Both teams were going end to end in search of goals with Ciaran Ferris and Eoin Cremin brilliant in the heart of the Ballyhar Defence. Park were causing massive problems down the left, and with crosses and corners raining in on goal, Adam Quirke had to be at his best. Unfortunately, just before halftime Park hit the back of the net twice in 2 mins. H/T 1-3 Ballyar started the 2nd half well with Daniel Ryan, making great runs down the right and Curran linking well with Elliot Lyne in Midfield. Park always looked dangerous, and when given too much space scored 2 more goals to make it 5-1. Ballyhar kept driving forward and got their just rewards with a well taken goal from the hard-working Daniel Ryan. The lads pushed forward in search of more and were hit on the counter by a clinical Park side. The scoreline doesn't do the lads effort justice as they performed well against a good Park side. Best for Ballyhar were Charlie Curran, Daniel Ryan, Eoin Cremin and MOTM Ciaran Ferris.
