Our U12's came through a  tough test against Feinit on Saturday morning which was separated by just a single goal. Ballyhar had the upper hand for most of the game but clear chances in front of goal were scarce. Adam Fleming, Patrick O'Connor and Alex Finn tried hard to get behind the Feinit defence, with Daithi Allen and Luke Bartlett holding midfield. Feinit were not just about defending and created a few chances on the counter attack which were thwarted by strong defending from Fionn Clifford and Callum Templeman, with Noah Browne in goals making some vital saves as well. The Feinit goalkeeper was alos on form making a fantastic save on 25 mins from Alex Finn who did well to shoot on the turn, only for the keeper to spread himself excellently and get a foot to the shot. The 2nd half saw more good defending from Feinit as Ballyhar tried to push for an opener. Patrick O'Connor had a long range effort tipped onto the bar while Fionn Clifford's glancing header from a corner went wide of the post. The frustration finally ended with just 4 mins remaining as Adam Fleming sent in a corner from the left which was met at the back post by the head of Alex Finn who found the back of the net. The lads held on for a deserved but very hard fought 3 points against a tough Feinit side. It was a great team performance by the lads who had to dig deep for the win, with Adam Fleming and Luke Bartlett best for Ballyhar.
