It was an early start for our U12 team 2 as they travelled to Pat Kennedy Park in Listowel to take on Listowel Celtic C.

The lads put in a very spirited performance, with all 13 players getting balanced game time. Ballyhar had to soak up a lot of pressure in the first half with Listowel taking a 3 goal lead into half time.
Ballyhar with Shane Collins, Harry O'Flaherty & Patrick Brosnan, contested well in the first half and created a few half chances to test the Home keeper.  Midway through the second half Ryhs Nolan played in Oisin Moynihan but unfortunately his last touch was just too heavy and he failed to test the keeper. Moments later a hand ball in the Listowel box enabled Fiacra McCarron to step up and take a penalty for Ballyhar. Fiachra struck the ball well but it struck the upright & rolled wide. F/T 5-0

Our boys are showing signs of improvement with every game and now have four games done in the league. Best of luck to Listowel Celtic C with the rest of the season & thanks to referee Tom O'Sullivan who handled the game well and helped witch it being played in a sporting manner.
