Ballyhar Dynamos B hosted Killorglin B in an early morning kick off in Murt Scott Park on Saturday morning in this League encounter. Ballyhar had a great first half and played very well, but Killorglin opened the scoring with a fantastic opening goal on 12 mins. Ballyhar continued to dominated possession with Joshua O'Sullivan and Brian Evans linking up well down the left hand side, Ruairi Casey doing massive work in the middle of the park, while Charlie Curran and Brendan Flynn caused the Killorglin defence awful trouble up front. Ballyhars dominance finally lead to an equaliser from the penalty spot, when Curran was taken down inside the box. He stepped up and cooly tucked it into the bottom left hand corner to level things up. But just a few minutes later, a huge long ball out of defence by Killorglin caught out the Ballyhar centre backs, with the bounce falling kindly for Killorglin forward who to put it away to give them the lead going into halftime. H/T 1-2
The second half got off to a bad start for Ballyhar, as Killorglin struck inside 3 mins to make 1-3. Ballyhar tried to get back into their groove, lead from the front by Charlie Curran who pulled another goal back finishing off an excellent move down the right involving Ciaran Ferris and Brian Evans. As Ballyhar pushed to equalise there was space left for Killorglin to counter and they caught Ballyhar on the break again to make it 4-2 on the day.
Best for Ballyhar were Adam Quirke in goals, Brendan Flynn, Ruari Casey and Player of the match for Ballyhar Charlie Curran, who is on a 3 game scoring run. Well done to all the lads.
