The Ballyhar girls had an early start on Saturday morning as they got 2025 off to a winning start against local neighbours MEK B.

Ballyhar settled early and after a period of pressing took the lead when Niamh O Sullivan ran through the middle of the MEK defence and slotted home after a through ball from Anna Kate Daly. The second came quickly after that, when Mollie O Connor played O Sullivan in for her second. 2-0
This pattern would continue, as star of the show Niamh O Sullivan went on to score another 4 in a dominant display from midfield. Assisted along the way by two long throws from Anna Fitzgerald, as well as through balls from captain Emma O Callaghan.
The final goal came from Anna Kate Daly who poked home after a goal mouth scramble following good play by Mollie O Connor.
